Job Description
Distribution Field Technician
On-Site role
Compensation: $22 per hour
ABOUT THE ROLE
Our client is seeking a Distribution Field Technician to join their Power Distribution Engineering team. In this role, you will conduct field inspections of overhead (OH) and underground (UG) electrical distribution systems, collect and document field data, prepare minor work orders and maintenance reports, and assist with storm damage assessments both locally and out of state. You will also communicate effectively with internal teams, clients, and agencies to ensure accurate and timely completion of tasks. This is an excellent opportunity for entry-level candidates who are eager to learn and grow in the power distribution field.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Inspect overhead and underground electrical distribution facilities
- Collect and document field data accurately
- Prepare minor work orders and maintenance reports
- Assist with storm damage assessments both locally and out of state
- Communicate effectively with internal teams, clients, and agencies
WHAT YOU BRING
- High school diploma required
- Entry-level candidates welcome
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to learn AutoCAD, GIS mapping software, or electrical design tools preferred
- Valid driver’s license
