Job Description

IT System/Business Analyst

Remote

Compensation: $44-49 per hour


ABOUT THE ROLE

Our client is seeking an IT System/Business Analyst to play a pivotal role in translating business requirements into actionable technical specifications, maintaining strong relationships with business stakeholders, and driving standard business processes across the IT enterprise. The analyst will be responsible for conducting thorough business process analysis, documenting current and future workflows, developing use cases, and managing requirement changes. This role requires a keen understanding of business priorities, the ability to recommend optimal solutions, and strong technical acumen to communicate complex information in non-technical terms. The analyst will collaborate closely with project managers, quality control, and technical leads to ensure business acceptance and successful project delivery. Staying current with industry trends and best practices is essential to enable global consistency, standardization, and exceptional performance.


WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications and feasible solutions
  • Conduct comprehensive business process analysis to understand and document existing workflows and systems
  • Document current and future state assessments, and create requirements for new processes
  • Develop use cases, functional models, process flows, and wire-frame diagrams as key communication tools between business and technical teams
  • Manage and document requirement changes throughout project lifecycles
  • Collaborate with Project Managers, Quality Control, and Technical Leads to ensure business acceptance and successful project delivery
  • Interact with Project Managers from multiple organizations to track project progress, identify and communicate risks, and assess potential business impacts
  • Maintain project documentation, including project lists, status reports, and budgets
  • Maintain regular contact with clients and facilitate clear communication between business and technical teams, translating technical information into non-technical language as needed
  • Proactively develop and maintain technical knowledge in specialized areas, staying up-to-date on current industry trends and best practices
  • Leverage expertise in Microsoft Office applications and specialized tools such as iRise and Rational toolset as required for specific projects
  • Produce feasibility reports and design solutions to improve productivity and efficiency
  • Coordinate and report on project progress, obstacles, and accomplishments


WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or related discipline preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of related experience required
  • Strong analytical and project management skills, with the ability to identify multiple approaches to problem solving and recommend optimal solutions
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications and communicate technical information to non-technical audiences
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Exchange, Visio, and Project
  • Experience with business process analysis, documentation, and requirements management
  • Strong collaboration, multi-tasking, and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated IT knowledge and expertise in relevant areas being developed or enhanced
  • Ability to develop use cases, functional models, process flows, and wire-frame diagrams
  • Knowledge of industry trends and best practices
  • Experience with iRise and Rational toolset (as required for certain projects)
