Technical Product Owner

Remote (Preferred: 6-state region; open to Remote U.S.)

This is a Remote role.

Compensation: $65-70/hr

Expected Duration: Through FY26

ABOUT THE ROLE

Our client is seeking a seasoned Technical Product Owner with 5+ years of relevant experience to lead the vision, development, and delivery of an Order Management System (OMS) Dashboard—an internal tool supporting developers, QAs, customer service agents, and business stakeholders. In this role, you will collaborate closely with users and stakeholders to gather and translate requirements, define the product vision, and create and manage product roadmaps in a dynamic environment. You will oversee all stages of product creation, from design through development, develop user stories, monitor progress, and provide clear updates to both the team and end-users. The ideal candidate will have experience with e-commerce, OMS, Java/Spring Boot, and .NET integrations, as well as a strong background in both backend and frontend technologies to support a full stack development team. Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills are essential, along with the ability to drive robust performance and communicate roadmap progress effectively to business stakeholders.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Collaborate with prospective users and clients to understand and anticipate their needs, translating them into actionable product requirements
  • Define and communicate the vision for the OMS Dashboard and related products
  • Create and maintain a product roadmap aligned with business goals and evolving requirements
  • Manage and prioritize the product backlog, adapting to changing business needs
  • Oversee all stages of product creation, including design, development, and implementation
  • Develop detailed user stories and acceptance criteria for development teams
  • Monitor and evaluate product progress at each stage of the process, ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes
  • Liaise with product teams and end-users to provide updates, gather feedback, and ensure alignment
  • Participate actively in Scrum meetings and product sprints, fostering an agile and collaborative environment
  • Drive performance and continuous improvement for the Order Management System Dashboard
  • Support full stack development teams with expertise in both backend and frontend technologies
  • Design and implement IT solutions, specifically for the Order Management Dashboard
  • Utilize proficiency in Java/Spring Boot and familiarity with .NET for OMS UI integrations
  • Apply strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills to deliver business value
  • Effectively communicate roadmap progress and product updates to business stakeholders

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Proven experience collaborating with users and clients to gather and translate requirements into product deliverables
  • Demonstrated ability to define product vision and create actionable product roadmaps
  • Experience managing and prioritizing product backlogs in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Oversight of all stages of product creation, including design, development, and implementation
  • Expertise in developing user stories and monitoring product progress throughout the lifecycle
  • Strong liaison skills with product teams and end-users for effective communication and updates
  • Active participation in Scrum meetings and product sprints
  • Preferred experience with e-commerce and Order Management Systems (OMS)
  • Technical proficiency in Java/Spring Boot and familiarity with .NET for OMS UI integrations
  • Full stack experience (backend and frontend) to support and guide development teams
  • Expertise in the design and implementation of IT solutions, especially Order Management Dashboards
  • Proficiency in multiple technologies or systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
