Overview

We are seeking a Lead Full Stack Engineer to help scale our client's engineering team and drive the development of next-generation digital experiences within their Member Portal. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll split your time between coding (~50%) and technical leadership, guiding a team of 4–5 engineers.


You’ll work across the full stack—from backend services and APIs to modern front-end applications—while influencing architecture, mentoring engineers, and partnering with stakeholders to deliver high-impact solutions.


What You’ll Do:


Technical Leadership & Architecture

  • Lead system architecture, design decisions, and technical strategy
  • Partner with business and product stakeholders to define and deliver solutions
  • Drive best practices in scalability, performance, and security
  • Evaluate and introduce new tools, frameworks, and technologies

Hands-On Development (≈50%)

  • Build and maintain scalable backend services (Java preferred, Node.js as a plus)
  • Develop modern front-end applications (Vue.js preferred)
  • Contribute to mobile applications using React Native
  • Design and implement RESTful APIs and integrations
  • Ensure high-quality code through reviews and best practices

Team Leadership & Collaboration

  • Lead and mentor a team of 4–5 engineers
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performing engineering culture
  • Provide technical guidance and constructive feedback through code reviews
  • Drive delivery of business-critical systems on time and with high quality

What You Bring

  • 7–8+ years of full stack development experience
  • Proven experience in a tech lead or senior engineering role
  • Strong ability to own and drive end-to-end design and development
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally
  • Comfortable working in fast-moving, evolving environments

Required Technical Skills

  • Backend development with Java (8+) (preferred) or Node.js
  • Frontend development with Vue.js (preferred) or modern JS frameworks
  • Experience building RESTful APIs and microservices
  • Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design
  • Experience with Azure Cloud Services
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, AKS)
  • Experience with Spring / Spring Boot
  • Knowledge of scalable web platforms and distributed systems

Nice to Have

  • Experience with React Native (mobile development)
  • Exposure to AI/ML-driven features or integrations
  • Familiarity with Adobe Experience Cloud / Adobe stack
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code and security best practices

What You’ll Be Working On

  • Building new, customer-facing capabilities within a modern Member Portal
  • Contributing to both web and mobile applications
  • Helping scale a growing engineering team
