Senior Generative AI Engineer  

Location: Remote 

Duration: 6-Month Contract 

Overview 

Our client is seeking a Senior Generative AI Engineer to lead the evaluation, design, and implementation of enterprise AI solutions. This is a hands-on consulting role focused on helping the organization identify high-value AI use cases, assess risks and governance, and build scalable AI solutions across the business. 

The ideal candidate combines a strong Data Science background with deep experience in Generative AI, cloud platforms, and modern data ecosystems. This individual will partner with technical and business stakeholders to recommend best practices, develop proof-of-concepts, and establish an enterprise AI strategy. 

Responsibilities 

• Consult with business and technology teams to identify and prioritize Generative AI use cases. 
• Design and develop AI-powered solutions that improve business processes and decision-making. 
• Evaluate AI platforms, tools, and emerging technologies to recommend the best solutions for enterprise adoption. 
• Advise leadership on AI governance, security, compliance, ethical AI, and potential implementation risks. 
• Build and deploy AI models and applications leveraging enterprise data platforms. 
• Develop proofs of concept (POCs) and pilot solutions to validate business value. 
• Collaborate with data engineering teams to ensure AI solutions integrate seamlessly with existing data architecture. 
• Partner with stakeholders to establish AI best practices, standards, and adoption strategies. 
• Stay current on rapidly evolving AI technologies and provide recommendations for continuous innovation. 

Required Qualifications 

• Hands-on experience designing and implementing Generative AI solutions in an enterprise environment. 
• Experience consulting with business stakeholders on AI strategy and implementation. 
• Strong understanding of Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), prompt engineering, AI orchestration, and modern AI architectures. 
• Experience working across cloud environments including Microsoft Azure and AWS. 
• Experience with: 
• Microsoft AI ecosystem (Azure AI, Azure OpenAI, Microsoft Fabric, Microsoft Copilot, etc.) 
• Snowflake 
• Microsoft Fabric 
• Curo (or similar enterprise data platform) 
• Experience integrating AI solutions with modern data platforms and analytics environments. 
• Strong understanding of AI governance, model risk, privacy, and responsible AI practices. 
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts to executive and non-technical audiences.

Ideal Candidate 

We're looking for a senior AI professional who can bridge the gap between business strategy and technical execution. This person should be comfortable advising leadership on where AI can deliver the most value, understanding the associated risks, and building practical solutions that leverage modern cloud and data platforms. This is less of a pure software engineering role and more of a trusted AI consultant who can both architect and implement enterprise Generative AI initiatives.
