Senior AI/ML Cloud Engineer – Agentic AI

Compensation: $65 - $80 per hour, DOE

ABOUT THE ROLE

Brooksource is seeking a Senior AI/ML Cloud Engineer – Agentic AI to join the Fraud Prevention AI/ML Engineering Team at a Fortune 500 telecommunications client. In this high-visibility, new-build contract role, you will design, build, and productionize agentic AI solutions to support fraud investigation efforts, leveraging AWS technologies and modern large language model (LLM) frameworks. You will take ownership of technical requirements, determine implementation approaches, and help move AI solutions from development into production. The broader initiative includes both agentic AI and anomaly-detection capabilities, and you will collaborate with application, cloud, AI/ML, and globally distributed engineering teams. WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Design, build, and productionize AI agents using AWS technologies such as Bedrock, AgentCore, LLMs, and related agentic frameworks
• Develop observability and monitoring for AI agents and MCP services using tools like CloudWatch, X-Ray, Bedrock logging, distributed tracing, and structured logging
• Implement post-deployment validation and monitoring for agent health, tool registration, connectivity, runtime errors, and downstream integrations
• Design secure, scalable AWS architectures for multi-team AI environments, including IAM, access controls, cloud governance, and reusable infrastructure patterns
• Build and enhance Terraform and CI/CD pipelines to support reliable deployment and operation of AI workloads
• Collaborate with engineering and platform teams to integrate AI solutions into production environments, improving reliability, cost visibility, monitoring, and operational support
• Take ownership of technical requirements and drive solutions from development to production in a hands-on, new-build environment
• Contribute to both agentic AI and anomaly-detection initiatives within the Fraud Prevention organization

WHAT YOU BRING

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in AI/ML, software development, or cloud engineering, with strong AWS expertise
• Demonstrated experience building AI agents and working with LLM-based applications in a hands-on engineering capacity
• Proficiency with AWS services such as Bedrock, AgentCore, IAM, Lambda, CloudWatch, and X-Ray
• Hands-on coding experience with Python, Java, or a comparable programming language
• Experience with Terraform, CI/CD, and deploying AI solutions into production environments
• Familiarity with agentic AI frameworks and observability tools (e.g., LangChain, MCP, distributed tracing, LLM observability)
• Ability to design secure, scalable AWS architectures and implement cloud governance best practices
• Self-directed engineering mindset with ownership of technical requirements and solution implementation in a new-build environment
• Strong collaboration skills for working with cross-functional and globally distributed teams
