Business Analyst – Supply Chain Digital Transformation
Indianapolis, IN
Hybrid Role
$55 - $65 per hour
18-month Contract

ABOUT THE ROLE

Join our Supply Chain Planning & Digital Transformation team as a Business Analyst, where you will serve as a critical bridge between business stakeholders and analytics/IT delivery teams. In this 18-month contract role based in Indianapolis, IN, you will support the intake, qualification, and execution of digital transformation projects, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and resource capacity. You will play a key role in managing project portfolios, documenting business processes and requirements, facilitating stakeholder communication, and supporting change management activities. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, organized, and proactive communicator who thrives in dynamic environments and is passionate about driving operational improvement through technology. You will have the opportunity to work on high-impact projects in a regulated industry, leveraging your analytical skills and business acumen to deliver meaningful change.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Support the intake and qualification process for digital portfolio projects, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and resource capacity
  • Maintain and update project tracking systems to reflect current status, milestones, risks, and dependencies across the portfolio
  • Generate portfolio-level reporting and dashboards to support leadership decision-making
  • Partner with business stakeholders to develop and refine business cases for new initiatives, including articulating value, scope, and success criteria
  • Document current-state business processes and identify opportunities for improvement or automation
  • Elicit, analyze, and document detailed business and functional requirements using structured methodologies (user stories, process maps, use cases)
  • Validate requirements with stakeholders and ensure traceability through delivery
  • Act as the primary liaison between business users and analytics/IT delivery teams throughout the project lifecycle
  • Facilitate working sessions, workshops, and sprint reviews to drive alignment and resolve open issues
  • Communicate project status, risks, and decisions clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Support change management activities, including user acceptance testing coordination and training documentation

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Supply Chain, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in a business analyst, project coordinator, or similar role
  • Demonstrated experience documenting business requirements and process flows
  • Strong facilitation and stakeholder management skills
  • Proficiency with project tracking and collaboration tools
  • Experience in pharmaceutical, life sciences, or regulated industry environment (preferred)
  • Familiarity with supply chain planning processes or ERP/planning systems (e.g., SAP, Kinaxis)
  • Analytical experience with Power BI, Fabric, and semantic models
  • Experience supporting digital transformation or analytics-focused portfolios
  • CBAP, PMI-PBA, or PMP certification (preferred)
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to earn trust with business users and synthesize complex information
  • Organized, proactive, and comfortable operating in ambiguity, able to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously
