Senior Data Platform Engineer (Snowflake / Databricks / AWS / Terraform)

Remote (Denver, CO area required)

W2 Contract, Full-Time (40 hours/week)

Compensation: $65-$75/hr

As a Brooksource consultant working directly with our client, you will be a W2 employee with full-time 40-hour work week. Comprehensive benefits (health, vision, dental), paid holidays, & sick time accrual is available to all employees on contract. Upon (in case of) FTE conversion, the client's benefits package will take over.

OVERVIEW

We’re hiring Senior Data Platform Engineers to help build and scale a growing data-platform environment for *Telecom Client*

This is an opportunity for an infrastructure-minded engineer who enjoys owning the platform behind modern data operations—not just writing queries or building tables. You’ll help stand up and operate Snowflake environments at significant scale, while supporting ongoing platform work and a major data migration initiative.

 What you’ll do

• Build and manage Snowflake platform infrastructure, including warehouses, roles, permissions, resource monitors, networking, and connectivity.
• Use Terraform to provision, manage, and evolve Snowflake resources as infrastructure as code.
• Partner across AWS, Snowflake, and potentially Databricks environments.
• Help design and improve infrastructure CI/CD workflows, including validation, approvals, deployment, and drift detection.
• Own platform reliability, security posture, cost governance, and incident response.
• Support a mix of net-new platform buildout, day-to-day operations, and migration work.
• Work in a newly forming organization where priorities and scope will continue to evolve.

What we’re looking for

• 5+ years of hands-on data platform or data infrastructure engineering experience.
• Strong Snowflake administration experience, including RBAC, warehouse sizing, resource monitors, and connectivity.
• Hands-on Terraform experience managing Snowflake resources specifically.
• Experience building new platform environments, not only maintaining existing ones.
• Familiarity with multi-provider infrastructure—such as Snowflake with AWS or Databricks.
• Experience with infrastructure CI/CD and platform operations.
• Comfort operating at high scale and in an evolving environment.

 Nice to have

• Experience supporting high-throughput, petabyte-scale data environments.
• Experience with data migrations or new data-platform initiatives.
• Experience owning a platform end-to-end, including reliability and incident response.
