You will oversee project execution, financial performance, schedules, and client relationships while coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams and other project stakeholders. This position also supports business development and client growth initiatives as the T&D practice continues to expand and pursue larger engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) projects. The role offers a competitive compensation and benefits package, a 9/80 work schedule, and significant opportunities for professional growth and advancement within a nationally recognized, employee-owned firm.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Lead and coordinate utility infrastructure projects involving transmission lines, substations, switching stations, collector stations, and related T&D infrastructure.
- Manage projects from proposal development and initial planning through engineering, execution, and closeout.
- Prepare project proposals, assist with client presentations, develop estimates, and participate in contract negotiations.
- Work with engineering teams to establish project scope, develop estimates, and prepare client deliverables.
- Develop and monitor project schedules, manage scope, and control project costs.
- Maintain responsibility for project financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, profitability, and financial reporting.
- Coordinate engineering resources, project staffing, procurement activities, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for utility clients, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring project expectations are met.
- Oversee project deliverables, quality assurance, risk management, change management, and project controls.
- Identify and resolve project challenges related to schedule, cost, scope, resources, and technical coordination.
- Provide regular updates on project progress, financial performance, schedule milestones, risks, and other issues requiring attention.
- Support construction-related activities and client coordination as projects progress toward completion.
- Assist with business development and marketing initiatives to grow existing client relationships and develop new opportunities.
- Identify opportunities to expand the T&D practice and support the pursuit of new utility infrastructure projects.
- Collaborate with leadership and technical teams to support the growth of the practice and prepare for larger EPC project opportunities.
WHAT YOU BRING

- 7+ years of experience in the electric utility industry or utility infrastructure projects.
- 3+ years of project management experience preferred.
- Background in transmission line engineering, transmission and distribution, substation projects, or related utility infrastructure.
- Experience managing project scope, schedules, budgets, financials, and deliverables.
- Experience coordinating engineering teams and working with technical stakeholders.
- Strong client-facing communication skills and the ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
- Experience developing project proposals, estimates, scopes of work, or supporting contract negotiations is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, identify risks, and drive projects toward successful completion.

WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU
- Direct-hire opportunity with a nationally recognized, 100% employee-owned engineering and construction firm.
- Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits package.
- 9/80 work schedule, allowing you to take every other Friday off.
- Opportunity to lead utility infrastructure projects and work closely with experienced engineering professionals.
- Client-facing role with responsibility for project execution, financial performance, and delivery.
- Exposure to transmission, distribution, substation, and other utility infrastructure projects.
- Opportunity to help grow an established T&D practice and contribute to new business opportunities.
