Jr. AI Engineer

Compensation: $30 per hour
ABOUT THE ROLE
Our client is expanding its AIOps team to build an enterprise-scale, cloud-agnostic AI platform powering the next generation of autonomous network operations. As a Junior AI Engineer, you will work closely with a team of 40 engineers and architects, gaining hands-on experience in developing, testing, and supporting AI-driven solutions in a real-world production environment. You will collaborate with senior engineers and architects to leverage modern AWS technologies such as Bedrock, Neptune, and Strands, and contribute to the deployment of agentic AI solutions that enhance network reliability, accelerate problem resolution, and advance the company’s vision for fully autonomous networking. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about artificial intelligence, eager to learn, and ready to innovate within a dynamic engineering team.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Support the development of AI-driven workflows for network monitoring and autonomous operations
- Contribute to proof-of-concepts (POCs) using LLMs, generative AI APIs, and agentic AI frameworks
- Collaborate with senior engineers on designing and implementing real-time telemetry analysis tools
- Build and test automation logic using AWS services such as Lambda, Step Functions, Bedrock, and CloudWatch
- Assist with model evaluation, prompt engineering, and integration of AI solutions into production systems
- Participate in code reviews, documentation, and knowledge sharing within the team
- Complete Elevate-provided training in AWS, Python, and related technologies
WHAT YOU BRING
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field
- Experience with Python (through coursework, personal projects, or internships)
- Basic understanding or strong interest in learning AWS concepts, including:
- Amazon Bedrock, Amazon SageMaker
- AWS agentic/orchestration tooling (e.g., Strands)
- AWS LLMs (Nova, Anthropic Claude via Bedrock, others)
- AWS data & analytics stack: EMR, Kinesis, Neptune/Neptune ML, S3, Data Lake, Aurora, RDS
- Familiarity with LLMs and generative AI concepts
- Strong problem-solving mindset and eagerness to experiment
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to learn quickly, ask insightful questions, and communicate effectively
- Passion for learning new technologies and innovating in a production environment
