Project Manager- Legal Operations

Hybrid (3 days in office)

$70 - $80 per hour (Contract - 1 year to start)

ABOUT THE ROLE

Our client is seeking a Legal Operations Project Manager on a contract basis to lead the transition of two SaaS platforms as part of a divestiture initiative in New Brunswick with a hybrid work arrangement. As the Legal Operations Project Manager, SaaS Transition, you will be responsible for end-to-end project management, including driving project planning, coordinating stakeholders, managing risks and dependencies, and ensuring a successful transition from planning through cutover and stabilization. You will work closely with Legal Operations, Technology, Security, Vendors, and Business stakeholders in a fast-paced enterprise environment. This position offers the opportunity to lead a highly visible enterprise transition initiative, collaborate with executive stakeholders, and gain experience across Legal Operations and Technology organizations.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Lead the end-to-end transition of two SaaS platforms as part of a divestiture initiative
• Develop and manage project plans, timelines, milestones, and dependencies
• Create and maintain RAID logs and dependency tracking
• Coordinate activities across Legal, Technology, Security, Vendors, and Business teams
• Manage risks, issues, actions, and dependencies throughout the project lifecycle
• Facilitate project meetings, governance reviews, and executive status reporting
• Support cutover planning, testing, operational readiness, and knowledge transfer activities
• Track vendor deliverables and ensure alignment to transition objectives
• Drive projects forward in ambiguous, fast-moving environments
• Ensure operational readiness and successful stabilization post-transition

WHAT YOU BRING

• 5+ years of experience managing SaaS implementations, migrations, transitions, or complex technology projects
• Experience creating and managing project plans, RAID logs, and dependency tracking
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Experience coordinating multiple cross-functional workstreams
• Ability to drive projects forward in ambiguous, fast-moving environments
• Experience with project management tools such as Jira, Smartsheet, or Microsoft Project
• Legal Operations or legal technology experience (preferred)
• Experience supporting divestitures, carve-outs, mergers, or acquisitions (preferred)
• Experience with legal technology platforms or matter management systems (preferred)
• Litify experience (strongly preferred)
