Compensation: $35–$40/hr

ABOUT THE ROLE

Join the Corporate & Commercial Platforms team at a leading Fortune 100 Energy client as an IT Services Analyst, supporting the Oracle Customer Care & Billing (CC&B) platform with a focus on Credit & Collections. This hybrid, 12-month contract-to-hire position is part of Brooksource’s Elevate Program, designed for early-career professionals seeking technical and professional growth in a collaborative, high-impact environment. You will facilitate and drive work across three operating companies (OpCos), ensuring priorities are executed efficiently and roadblocks are removed across both business and technical teams. With the CC&B platform recently implemented, you will play a key role in its stabilization and enhancement phase, performing analysis, ensuring tasks progress from intake through completion, and supporting mission-critical applications. The Elevate Program offers mentorship, technical training, exposure to enterprise-level systems, and seamless transition to a full-time role.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Facilitate and drive work tasks across three operating companies, ensuring alignment and timely delivery
  • Perform triage and analysis of incoming work, identifying priorities and next steps
  • Identify and help resolve roadblocks, such as unclear requirements, vendor dependencies, or prioritization conflicts
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to clarify requirements and translate them into actionable tasks
  • Write and execute SQL queries to analyze issues and support decision-making
  • Support Credit & Collections initiatives within the Oracle CC&B platform
  • Partner with development teams and vendors to ensure work is progressing as expected
  • Track and communicate status updates, risks, and dependencies to relevant stakeholders
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of processes and workflows
  • Build foundational knowledge of utility operations and service territories

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, or related field
  • At least 2 years of experience in a Technical Business Analyst, IT Analyst, or similar role with IT fundamentals
  • Experience gathering requirements and translating them into technical problem statements
  • Basic SQL skills (writing queries, joins, filtering, data analysis)
  • Exposure to relational databases (Oracle preferred)
  • Familiarity with software development concepts (Java or similar preferred)
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts to business stakeholders
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and manage competing priorities
  • Bonus: Exposure to Oracle CC&B or similar billing platforms
  • Bonus: Understanding of Meter-to-Cash processes (billing, payments, credit/collections)
  • Bonus: Familiarity with Groovy or scripting languages
  • Bonus: Experience working with multiple stakeholders across business units
