Technical Project Coordinator
Hybrid Role
This is a Hybrid role.
Compensation: $35 per hour

ABOUT THE ROLE

Our client is seeking a Technical Project Coordinator to support their Health Insurer’s Executive PMO and technical delivery teams. In this hybrid role, you will partner with project managers, technology teams, and senior leaders to plan and deliver technology-driven initiatives, including application rollouts, system enhancements, and platform improvements. This position is ideal for individuals interested in advancing into technical project or program management, offering opportunities to drive organization, execution, communication, and follow-through across technical projects while maintaining visibility at the portfolio and leadership level. WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Support project managers and technical leads with planning, coordination, and execution of technology initiatives
  • Assist with delivery of projects such as new application implementations, system enhancements, and platform upgrades
  • Capture and distribute meeting notes, action items, risks, and decisions for technical and cross-functional meetings
  • Track project tasks, timelines, dependencies, and blockers using tools such as JIRA and Microsoft products
  • Help manage Agile or hybrid workflows, including sprint tracking and backlog updates
  • Coordinate portfolio-level activities, including intake tracking, annual planning inputs, change requests, submission deadlines, and weekly/ad-hoc PMO status reporting
  • Act as a coordination point between technology teams, project managers, leadership, and external partners
  • Prepare executive-ready updates, presentations, and delivery summaries
  • Support basic budget, resource, and milestone tracking for technical projects
  • Translate complex or technical discussions into clear deliverables, action items, and next steps
  • Adapt to shifting priorities as projects evolve and the organization undergoes change

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Experience supporting technical projects in a coordinator, PMO, project analyst, or associate PM capacity
  • Familiarity with technical project environments, including software delivery or application support
  • Working knowledge of Agile concepts and tools such as JIRA (hands-on experience preferred)
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously
  • Detail-oriented with consistent follow-up and execution
  • Clear, confident written and verbal communication, including with senior leaders
  • Comfortable partnering with engineers, analysts, and non-technical stakeholders alike
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook)
  • Collaborative, adaptable, and eager to grow into a technical PM role
