MuleSoft Senior Developer

Remote - Long Term Contract

Compensation Range:~ $75 - $85 per hour (Competitive, based on experience)

ABOUT THE ROLE

Our leading system integrator client is seeking an experienced MuleSoft Senior Developer to support an active federal government engagement delivering a next-generation travel and expense managed service for civilian employees across multiple government agencies. This is a remote, contract position ideal for a hands-on developer with deep MuleSoft expertise and proven experience integrating SAP Concur with enterprise systems. The successful candidate will contribute to complex integration development, produce clear technical documentation, and adhere to MuleSoft best practices and API Delivery Model standards throughout the engagement. WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Design, develop, and unit test MuleSoft integrations for enterprise systems, including SAP Concur
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs using JSON and XML, following SOA principles and event-driven architecture patterns
• Produce clear technical documentation, including design specifications and interface contracts
• Adhere to MuleSoft best practices, guardrails, and API Delivery Model standards throughout development
• Analyze and design client information systems; support requirements gathering, build, test, and maintenance phases
• Participate in application design, develop program specifications, and assist in testing and operational readiness
• Integrate SAP Concur and other enterprise systems using MuleSoft and related technologies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery of integration solutions
• Support API lifecycle management and governance
• Utilize expertise in Java, middleware integration, and relational/NoSQL databases as needed

WHAT YOU BRING

• 7+ years of hands-on MuleSoft development experience, including application design, development, and unit testing
• MuleSoft Certified Developer – Level 1 required
• Proven experience integrating SAP Concur and other enterprise systems
• Strong expertise in Mule ESB, SOA principles, RESTful API development, API lifecycle management, and governance
• Proficiency in Java, middleware integration, and relational and NoSQL databases
• Ability to produce clear technical documentation, including design specifications and interface contracts
• Adherence to MuleSoft best practices, guardrails, and API Delivery Model standards
• U.S. Citizenship required; ability to obtain an MBI security clearance
• Experience with AWS Cloud components (CloudWatch, SQS, S3, DynamoDB) is a plus
• Experience with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform administration and monitoring is a plus
