Job Description
Jr. Press Operator/Technician
Cincinnati, OH (Located near Sharonville)
On-Site Role
$18-$22 per hour
Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
ABOUT THE ROLE
Join our team as a Jr. Press Operator/Technician and become an integral part of a dynamic label printing manufacturing environment in Cincinnati, OH. As part of Brooksource's Elevate Program, you will work on-site with a leading client, operating high-powered rewind presses to finish and prepare labels for packaging and shipping. This hands-on role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced setting, values quality, and is committed to maintaining efficient production processes. You will be responsible for ensuring product quality, performing equipment maintenance, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives, all while collaborating closely with your team to deliver outstanding results.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Set up and operate rewind presses according to work order specifications
- Load and unload materials safely and efficiently
- Inspect finished rolls to ensure labels meet quality standards and are properly secured
- Make necessary press adjustments to correct quality or production issues
- Monitor unwind and rewind tensions throughout each job to maintain consistency
- Locate and verify job jackets using job numbers to ensure production accuracy
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting to keep equipment in optimal condition
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure smooth operations
- Participate in training and seek ways to improve processes
- Follow company policies, safety procedures, and core operational processes
- Embrace LEAN Principles to drive efficiency and customer satisfaction
WHAT YOU BRING
- High school diploma or GED required
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively
- Basic math skills and familiarity with rulers or measuring tapes
- Intermediate computer skills
- Team-oriented mindset with a drive for success and continuous improvement
- Willingness to participate in ongoing training and embrace new processes
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and organized work environment
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing setting
