Job Description

Strategic Analytics Analyst

New York, NY or Los Angeles, CA - Hybrid role

$40 - $50/hr

3-month contract

ABOUT THE ROLE

Our client, a modern media and entertainment organization with a growing portfolio of consumer-facing brands across linear, streaming, and digital platforms, is seeking a Strategic Analytics Analyst for a 3-month contract in New York, NY (hybrid). As part of the Data Insights department, you will join the Strategic Analytics team to deliver high-impact quantitative analyses that directly inform consumer strategy, marketing optimization, and corporate investment decisions. You will apply advanced statistical techniques to complex business questions—ranging from market opportunity modeling and segmentation to customer lifetime value analysis—and translate your findings into clear, actionable presentations for both technical and non-technical audiences. This is an ideal opportunity for an analytically sharp, media-curious professional eager to work at the intersection of data, strategy, and storytelling, with broad exposure to brand strategy, corporate development, and data insights.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Collaborate with Strategic Analytics colleagues and the broader Data Insights department to support analytics needs across a portfolio of consumer media brands and corporate strategy.
  • Design and execute advanced quantitative analyses of marketing optimization, emerging market opportunities, and evolving consumer needs, behaviors, and interests to inform consumer and investment strategies.
  • Apply advanced statistical and analytical techniques—including market opportunity modeling, segmentation, customer lifetime value modeling, and acquisition opportunity modeling—to address complex strategic questions across the organization.
  • Develop presentations and visualizations that communicate analytical findings in a clear, actionable, and compelling way for senior stakeholders.
  • Work with peers across data and insights teams to identify opportunities to extract new business value from first- and third-party consumer datasets, both individually and in combination.
  • Evaluate available syndicated data sources to identify data that can be onboarded to address business challenges and opportunities in new ways, adding unique value to the organization’s analytical capabilities.
  • Act as a methodological consultant—alongside senior team members—to strategy and business development stakeholders across corporate and brand teams.
  • Stay informed on evolving consumer behaviors, media trends, and analytical best practices to continuously improve research capabilities.
  • Assist with team project management and administrative duties as needed.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 1–2 years of experience in Marketing Analytics, Product Analytics, Business Intelligence, Decision Science, Data Analytics, or a related analytical discipline.
  • Experience working with large, complex datasets and applying analytical thinking to solve real business problems.
  • Understanding of quantitative analytical methods such as regression, segmentation, clustering, key drivers analysis, forecasting, price sensitivity, perceptual mapping, and/or other statistical techniques.
  • Experience integrating multiple datasets to identify patterns, generate insights, and support strategic recommendations.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with analytical programming languages such as Python or R.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated enthusiasm for audience research and a genuine passion for TV, streaming, digital media, entertainment, sports, and/or news.
  • Experience or demonstrated interest in media, entertainment, streaming, consumer technology, or digital products.
  • Intellectual curiosity, strong attention to detail, and a collaborative, problem-solving mindset.

WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU

  • High-impact contract role embedded within the Strategic Analytics team of a modern media and entertainment organization with a portfolio of well-known consumer brands across linear, streaming, and digital.
  • Opportunity to apply advanced analytical techniques to real strategic questions—with direct influence on consumer strategy, marketing optimization, and corporate investment decisions.
  • Collaborative, intellectually curious team environment that values strong analytical thinking and a genuine passion for media and entertainment.
  • Broad exposure across brand strategy, corporate development, and data insights—with senior mentorship and the chance to grow your methodological consulting skills in a high-caliber setting.
  • Accepting applicants through 10/16/26.
